An early intervention program for at-risk children will continue at least another year thanks to new funding.

Quincy is one of five communities in the state that uses the Casa Start program.

In its second year locally, the program focuses on children who show early signs of difficulty in school and works to prevent risky behaviors that could lead them to drop out in later years.
